Ruckle Provincial Park is best known as the second oldest operating farm in British Columbia, established in the late 1800′s. Today, the park features a beautiful and well-serviced campground, with barbecue pits, walking trails and lots of beach access, and a visitor’s center to the farmhouse and grounds.

Mount Maxwell Provincial Park, one of the most popular tourist sites and a must-visit for its spectacular 180° views, is located at the top of Mount Maxwell, approximately 9 km drive from Fulford Ganges Road (the main road linking the Fulford area to Ganges). The peak is approximately 1,500 ft above sea level, and the views look southward, towards Fulford Valley, Fulford Harbour, and the southern islands, and northeastward, towards Mill Bay, Crofton, and the mountains of Vancouver Island. Mount Maxwell Provincial Park is a day park, with picnic facilities and hiking trails. No overnight camping allowed. Be aware that the road to the park can be quite rough, especially during the rainy season.
